Working Principle (Differential Pressure Method)

Sample preparation

Place the material specimen to be tested between the upper and lower test chambers, then clamp and seal it tightly to ensure there is no leakage.

Establishing a differential pressure

Evacuate the lower chamber (low‑pressure side) and fill the upper chamber (high‑pressure side) with the test gas, creating a constant pressure difference.

Monitoring permeation

Driven by the pressure difference, the gas permeates slowly from the high‑pressure side through the material to the low‑pressure side.

Calculating parameters

High‑precision sensors continuously monitor the pressure change on the low‑pressure side in real time, from which key parameters such as gas permeability, diffusion coefficient, and permeation coefficient are calculated.
