An index for measuring the bending resistance of paper and paperboard, this instrument is a specialized device for determining the stiffness of films and paper.
Operating Principle:
The computerized stiffness tester is designed based on the static bending principle. By bending the free end of a vertically clamped specimen, the resistance measured when the specimen reaches a specific bending angle is defined as the bending stiffness, expressed in mN; or as the product of the resistance and the test length, expressed in mN.m.
