Intended Use

Used in conjunction with Gas Chromatographs (GC).

Operating Principle

The headspace sampler is a sample pretreatment device for gas chromatography (GC) analysis. Compared with other pretreatment methods such as solvent extraction and thermal desorption, it offers advantages including greater simplicity, higher efficiency, and superior reproducibility of analytical results. It is one of the preferred methods for quantitative and qualitative GC analysis.

Product Features

  1. With a full Chinese liquid crystal display, it is simple to operate and can be started with one key. It can automatically perform heating and balancing, needle insertion, sampling, injection, start the chromatograph and workstation, replace the sample bottle, etc., achieving full automation of the process.
  2. It can preset 20 samples without the need for manual intervention, improving the reliability and consistency of the analytical work.
  3. It has multiple fault judgment and processing modes, can automatically determine the position of the sample bottle, and can automatically avoid the position where no bottle is installed. In case of a position fault, it can prevent bottle collision. When there is an abnormal mechanical movement, it can automatically stop and give a prompt, effectively ensuring the reliability of high-precision movement and avoiding damage.
  4. All sample transmission pipelines and quantitative loops are made of imported highly inert deactivated pipelines, with no residue and no cross-contamination, ensuring the repeatability and accuracy of sample injection.
  5. The combination of the six-port valve and the quantitative loop minimizes the gas volume, ensuring the injection precision.
  6. The connection point between the six-port valve and the transmission pipeline is located inside the heating and heat preservation chamber, with no cold spots during transmission, ensuring the integrity of the sample.
  7. Adopting the classic positive pressure sampling method, it can measure liquid or solid samples, with high detection sensitivity. It performs injection under normal pressure, and the baseline does not drift.
  8. All actions are driven by a motor, without the need for an external driving gas, which is safe and convenient to use.
  9. The whole machine adopts an all-aluminum alloy structure, and a plastic shell is used at the same time, which ensures rigidity and greatly reduces the weight, ensuring transportation safety.
  10. It has strong compatibility, can be easily connected to various gas chromatographs at home and abroad, and can start the chromatograph and workstation synchronously. It can also read the ready signal of the chromatograph and work in coordination with the chromatograph.
  11. According to the needs of customers, six-port valves with different working temperatures and imported inert sampling needles can be optionally configured.
  12. An electronic pressure control (EPC) system can be installed to reduce manual adjustment errors.
  13. It is equipped with an RS232 interface, can communicate with the workstation, and various parameters can be set on the workstation.
